How did you medel this Andy?
The LoG supposedly has some very slight directivity, but this is at very
low angles.
In practice over the years I have had several LoGs up I have never seen
any directivity at all. They are essentially omnidirectional.
I use a twisted-pair feed to mine, so no balun etc. at the antenna. The
matching is done at the shack end.
That way I can also measure the loop and feedline resistance to test and
know if there is an issue or a break. That happens sometimes and this
does affect the antenna performance.
