Hi, Whenever I add imports to an owl file, TBC re-paints the Classes view and imports view repeatedly. This seems to dramatically slow the process of adding the imports. This is particularly troublesome if you add lots of imports (say a dozen or so) at once. TBC has been churning on this for the last 5+ minutes. Once complete, the total number of triples will be less than 200,000 so I don't expect it to take this long. I can tell when it completes importing a given file because TBC will re-paint the ontology overview and then continue "flashing" (re-painting) the Classes and Import views.
I'm running TBC-ME 3.4.0 on Win7/64. I don't remember it doing this in earlier versions. The tangible impact is that it appears to be dramatically slowing the import process (If I recall correctly from my programming days, re-painting the screen in an inner loop was a very expensive operation which is why I'm wondering if it is supposed to be re-painting so frequently) Thanks for your insights, Tim -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Group "TopBraid Suite Users", the topics of which include TopBraid Composer, TopBraid Live, TopBraid Ensemble, SPARQLMotion and SPIN.
