Hello Mark,
I don't think we have a more detailed page about this feature (which is
specific to TopBraid, not the server containers). When set to true, it
basically reuses any previously called SWP page with exactly the same
arguments (even up to the exact order of arguments). It uses a simple
LRU algorithm, i.e. after 1000 different requests it will discard the
least recent used entries.
Could you paste some example URLs that you are using so that I can help
you speculate about the inconsistent behavior? Maybe there are slight
differences in the URLs, e.g they may include a user-specific field.
Thanks
Holger

Hi Mark,
I know the UI SPIN documentation and knowledge assets you included
well. I am asking specifically about the _cache argument in
http://uispin.org/ui.html#server section. Is there anything else on
this, perhaps its a Tomcat or Jetty feature?
Thanks,
Mark

Hello,
I was wondering if you had any more information about the
_cache variable for the uispin service
<http://uispin.org/ui.html#server>. We have a large static SWP
page that takes 30-60 seconds to generate and we would need to
use the _cache function for normal user operations. The cache
seems to have been a bit finicky so far. Its mostly working
well, caching on the server allows multiple users to hit the
same cached version from the server, yet other times its been
regenerating the page. I will do some more testing with it,
but would like to know if you have any further information
that could help me understand how it works (e.g. how long does
version stay cached, how could I force a new version, are
there conditions when it won't load, etc) I assume this is a
Tomcat / Jetty feature, so should I look to their documentation?
Thanks and Regards,
Mark
