#28211: Torbrowser 8.0.3 Hangs, and torbutton does not show the current circuit --------------------------------------+-------------------------- Reporter: justmeee | Owner: tbb-team Type: defect | Status: new Priority: Immediate | Milestone: Component: Applications/Tor Browser | Version: Severity: Critical | Resolution: Keywords: | Actual Points: Parent ID: | Points: Reviewer: | Sponsor: --------------------------------------+-------------------------- Changes (by justmeee):
* priority: Medium => Immediate * status: needs_information => new * severity: Normal => Critical Comment: I tried a fresh install. I'm using Windows 7, 64-bit. I tried installing 8.0.3 and I'm getting an error that says "you must have at least Windows 7 installed". I also tried to install the beta from the nightly build and got the same error. So I tried a fresh install of the 7.5 that I had and updated it. When it updated, it tells me the version 8 is 32-bit. Also, it's still hanging. Additionally, on the TorButton, it needs a fix in the version 8. I see you can change "identity", but not the circuit for a specific site like in version 7. This is a problem because it says it will close ALL tabs. Plus it doesn't show the circuit for that site, a necessity which was VERY useful because I could see when it actually changed circuits and I could use that info, in addition to the performance, to exclude nodes that weren't working for me. It was also useful to ensure other criteria were being met (ie: if I needed a specific exit, etc). Please advise.
