I'm unable to reproduce this on FreeBSD 8.2 and 9.0 both running Tor
0.2.3.16-alpha + Libevent 2.0.19 and OpenSSL 1.0.1c, all from ports.
I wonder if it'd be worth wile to bisect Libevent versions. Didn't
Sebastian fix something related to kqueue in Libevent semi-recently?
