I think the "change it to 3 days" proposal isn't so bad; how about you
turn your proposal into a minimal version of that and send it to tor-dev.
The second one seems significantly more complex; it's interesting to
consider it for 0.2.5, but it doesn't feel feasible for 0.2.4 right now.
