Doing the Torbutton settings change dance, and/or changing prefs from
https://gitweb.torproject.org/torbrowser.git/blob/HEAD:/build-
scripts/config/prefs.js is probably the way forward to diagnosing this.
It might also be the case that their captcha server simply bans
some/most/all Tor nodes via some stupid IP rate limiting scheme. Might be
worth testing in a vanilla firefox with just SOCKS settings, first?
