Can you/naif/others try this Firefox release when you get a chance:
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/17.0.6esr/mac/en-
US/. It is closest to what we use.
(My 10.6 mac does not have a Saved Application State dir).
