After selecting an image and clicking through a few screens, you should see a window with "Your instances are now launching". You should then be able to see this instance in the main list, with "2/2 checks passed" and the state "running" You do have to make sure that all four required ports (22, 443, 40872, 52176) are open in the firewall (called the security group). > Is there a way for me to tell if it is being used? You can connect to the instance with ssh and use arm (with sudo -u debian-tor arm) to look at different stats, such as bandwidth, logs, configurations, connections, etc. -- Runa A.
