I'm hoping that resolving this will also resolve why my server side hook output is ending up in the web server logs instead of in my THg client's windows. The messages from the notify hook make it back to the clients, but my hooks' transaction aborting messages are swallowed into the error logs. Like you I went on a quest for the source of the redirection, but eventually gave up. So I'm pining a lot of hope on this either being a common fix or at least shedding some light in a place I couldn't see before.
