Adrian Buehlmann / abuehl on Thu, 9 Jul 2009 11:11:42 +0200: Comment: Green icon means the rpc server (thgtaskbar.exe) is temprorarily busy updating cache information (updating .hg/thgstatus files in one or more repos). The duration of the green state depends on how many repos are in its todo queue and the size of the repos. The taskbar icon turns gray again as soon as the rpc server is idle again. So you have a visual feedback whenever the rpc server is scanning one or more repo. If you do not like having the green icon, you can turn it off by removing the checkmark at "Highlight Icon" in the options of the rpc server (right-klick the icon in the taskbar and select "Options..." from the menu). If you are interested, you can watch the rpc server working by looking at the "Event Log" tab in that same dialog. (setting this issue to state "invalid" as this behaviour is expected).
