I would have pushed this to stable, but Steve seems to have pushed it to default without further notice: http://bitbucket.org/tortoisehg/stable/changeset/5748bdcfe18e/ So this marks now a significant (needless, IMHO) fork from the stable branch -- concerning installer. Specifically, some bugs that are fixed by this change are unlikely to appear fixed in a release of TortoseHg until Nov 1st (unless Steve wants to backport and test them to/on the stable branch).
