I started to look seriously at thg-winbuild to use it as a base for our installer at Edlund (the place I work). I had to do a lot of patching (especially in the wxs files :( ), since we don't want/need some of the shipped stuff. Some of the patches are generally useful, I think, especially the ones to setup.py.
