Hey folks,

This is an official announcement that TortoiseHg will be porting it's
tools and dialogs to PyQt. Our road map is to release 1.1 on July 1,
as scheduled, as our last PyGtk release. Following the 1.1 release,
the PyGtk based dialogs will enter maintenance mode. We will fix bugs
and keep these tools up to date with changes in Mercurial API for as
long as people use them, but new development will be concentrated on
PyQt based tools. The 1.2 release on November 1 is slated to be all
PyQt.

On non-Windows platforms, users will have a choice of using the PyGtk
or PyQt tools. And, of course, anyone can build PyGtk Windows
packages for themselves, but we will not offer them for download after
the 1.2 release.

On a mostly unrelated note, we are migrating our development mailing
list to google groups. If you would like to join in on the PyQt port,
even to provide feedback on the new UIs under development, please join
our group at: http://groups.google.com/group/thg-dev?hl=en

PS: If you would like to discuss the reasoning behind the migration,
please take it to the development mailing list.
