The first patch is just a minor optimization to avoid invalidating just-created repo instances.
The second one implements support for -R bundle:x+y URLs on the command line (my previously mentioned 'solution y'). This was partially implemented already, but needed to be tied together. As for the placement of the crucial self.setBundle() call, I am really not sure where it should go.
