If you have no other tortoise applications installed, you can uninstall it.
If you just want to upgrade TortoiseHg, just leave it in place as the same
version is installed again by THG 0.6
Below is a somewhat technical explanation why it is like this.
The present installer does not do a registration count of
tortoiseoverlay.dll - it simply wraps TortoiseOverlay.msi
Thus you will see TortoiseOverlays installed as a separate application, and
it will not be uninstalled when you uninstall TortoiseHg. The same method is
used by TortoiseCVS
TortoiseSVN uses a different method. It integrates the tortoiseoverlay.dll
and ref-counts the installation. This means that tortoiseoverlays does not
show up as a separate application, and that it is removed automatically when
the ref-count reaches zero. This does not happen until all
tortoiseoverlay-applications have been uninstalled.
It is possible to do this in the tortoisehg installer, but due to lack of
developer resources this has not been addressed yet.
