- opens a new instance of emacs for every file that I want to edit, not

Ah, right, I see... Well, the ensuing dialog box had the path greyed 
out. If I select the "Search Filter" radio button and change the 
seperators, I still get nothing, even if I hit the Refresh button...

Will do, I'll come back next time I need Hg when hopefully things have 
calmed down a little...
