I was surprised too to see that checkbox was missing. I can understand
the developer wanted to help the user by always showing deleted files,
for protection. And that's exactly what Adrian replied.
But not being able to uncheck that type of file can be limiting the
user too much. Imho, a developer can do the best to support the user,
with possibilities, but the user should stay in charge. Developer
can't forcome all newbie/user errors.
So I think the checkbox could be re-added, but always checked when
starting the dialog, or making a new file/folder selection. That way,
the user has to uncheck it again and again, really deliberately. Which
seems a better mixture of safety and the user being able to decide, at
least to me.
