test: Create a new repository. Create two files: Test.odp and test.odt
note: Same Filename, but different capitalization. Different file extensions. Content of files is irrelevant. Check in these files. Tortoise Rename test.odp to Test.odp (capitalize first letter "T"). Expected behavior: It renames the file. No erroneous prompt to rename a file to it's existing filename. Actual behavior: It incorrectly prompts: "TortoiseSVN has detected similar filenames. Do you want the files: Test.odt -> Test.odt to be renamed too? [yes] (no) (cancel)" Note: the file it is suggesting to rename has the exact same case. E.g. Test.odt to Test.odt... If you do say Yes (the default) then you will get an error with the rename of the file into itself. fix: If original and suggested new filename is identical don't prompt to rename. Versions affected: It's still in the latest 1.12.0 version. I retested on an older VM snapshot and the bug is in 1.9.7. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TortoiseSVN" group.
