Just bumping this as it would help me considerably. To rephrase to make it easier to understand:
- Select a bunch of commits - Search for something that's part of what you selected - Deselect it/them (with Ctrl+Click) - Clear search, but it still has everything selected that you chose at the start including what you just deselected. It would make sense for those commits you deselected to store being deselected when you clear the search. Huge QoL for being able to select a lot of commits at once, and specifically deselect what you don't want using searches.
