All- This year Red Hat has launched a Women in Open Source award to recognize women who have worked in or contributed to open source in some way, whether it's writing, marketing, design / ux, coding, community management, etc.
Two awards will be given: professional and student. The student award is open to all students enrolled at a college or university who are women or who identify as a woman. The student award winner will receive a $2500 stipend (suggested use towards open source project or efforts) and a feature article on opensource.com. If you have any students in mind who you think might be a good fit for this award, would you please nominate them or let them know they can nominate themselves here: http://www.redhat.com/en/about/women-in-open-source The deadline is November 21. I would really appreciate anything you can do to help spread the word your school! Thanks, Gina ----- Gina Likins University Outreach 11S133, Red Hat Tower 100 E.
