Subject: [TOS] FOSS for high school students

I am giving a talk about computer science to a group of high school
seniors. The objective is to give them a better idea about computer
science areas that may be interesting and different from the typical
idea of cs=programming.
I want to spend some time talking about open source.
Does anyone have recommendation for specific projects and other
resources that may be particularly interesting to that age group?

Thanks in advance,
Joanna
