Subject: An update to the POSSE and Teaching Open Source logos -- for your
review

Hi all -

For those of you I've not yet had the pleasure of meeting, a quick
introduction: my name is Gina (pronounced "Jenna") Likins, and I work on the
university outreach team at Red Hat. We're in the process of ramping up our
efforts around teachinopensource.org and supporting POSSE; in fact, you
probably saw the email from my colleague Nick Yeates just last week about the
work we're starting on instructional materials.

We have also worked with some of the graphic designers here at Red Hat to
create updated logos for teachingopensource.org and POSSE, and I'm excited to
share them with you and get your feedback:
https://github.com/OSAS/tos-repository/blob/master/tos_logo.pdf. It's still an
owl for POSSE and a leaf for teachingopensource.org, but the fonts and images
have been streamlined and modernized a bit, and the color palette has been
updated. In addition, the wording on the POSSE logo has been changed to say
"Professor's Open Source Software Experience" instead of "Professor's Open
Source Summer Experience." Finally, since the designs don't have any
gradients, they should work well for a variety of media (stickers, t-shirts,
etc.).

Let me know if you have any questions, comments or suggestions! We will also
put these on the teachingopensource.org website (just as soon as I can figure
out how to do that :-)

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer,

Gina
