I tried installing the Facebook app on an Android phone now, and it says:
--------
Record audio:
Allows application to access the audio record path.

Take pictures:
Allows application to take pictures with the camera. This allows the
application at any time to collect images the camera is seeing.
---------

I think how this works is that you can record stuff from within the
facebook app, but then you will notice that the camera light is on, of
course. It's odd that it apparently also has access to the camera when
another app is using the camera. But this is probably a design decision at
the Android level.

In the developer documentation for Android app developers
https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/media/camera.html it say that
'For recording audio with video capture, your application must request the
audio capture permission.'

That same page however also advises to use other existing apps for
recording, unless you want to add some special functionality to the
recording UI.

Anyway, looking at the full list of permissions, I think it's fair to say
that the Facebook Android app requires very broad permissions. This is not
a point about the website, but let's add it to the review anyway (we should
then do this for more services which people will probably end up using from
a smartphone app instead of desktop-only), I propose bad, 30 for this point.
