Well *this* DJ named Jenny played more than her fair share of Madness on
the ol' college radio shows - so that should make up for it, eh? ;)
Seems to me Madness songs are having a sort of renaissance in the US
lately.... I hear them at least once a week on a local radio station,
heard "One Step Beyond" in an artsy furtniture/housewares store (Z Gallery
- not sure if it's a chain...), SunCom is using "Our House" in one of
their phone commercials, and Paul Schaffer of the David Letterman show
often uses Madness songs as instrumentals before the show goes to
commercial. I just wish "Wonderful" could be released here with some
heavy PR... 'cause now is the time!!
Liked that idea of John's..... so what is the funniest/strangest thing you
all have done to promote the band? Mine has to be standing in front of
the White House with the Fred posters... but I'm sure there are some far
more interesting ones out there......
