The .desktop is installed at /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qt5/examples/ubuntu-ui-toolkit/examples/ubuntu-ui-toolkit-gallery/ubuntu-ui-toolkit-gallery.desktop instead of /usr/share/applications. This makes it not foundable in the Unity dash or any traditional UI tools. 2.
