My original argument is wrong: email messages are arranged in
"conversations" by their "In-Reply-To" field, not their subject. In any
case, it would be useful to have meaningful subject and "In-Reply-To"
fields set in all messages from Launchpad.

Title:
apport-collect should use the bug title, not the attachment name

Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: apport

This is on up-to-date lucid installed afresh from alpha 3.

When apport-collect is run, it makes Launchpad send a series of emails
titled "[Bug <bug-number>] <attached-file-name>". The title should be
"[Bug <bug-number>] <bug-name>". While this might seem a pedantic
point, it does make a difference if the email client a bug subscriber
uses gathers emails by subject to display "email conversations", like
GMail does. Then all email notifications pertaining to the same bug
report, be they from apport-collect, from the Launchpad web interface
or from direct email replies, would show up in the same
  "conversation".

Fixing this bug may also fix bug 1495436.
