Public bug reported: The stable-phone-overlay now has 15.10 on the device, but there is no corresponding security policy. In essence, two things need to happen: 1. apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu needs to be adjusted to ship 15.10 policy that works on a 15.04 device (which might be different than 15.10 policy on a 15.10 device) 2. click-apparmor needs to be adjusted to map the policy
'2' means that upgraders will have to endure the time-consuming policy recompile ('1' does not because nothing will be changing in the non-15.10 policy). To avoid '2' in the future, we might be able to backport some functionality from wily's click-apparmor so that things can be done at runtime rather than hardcoded. ** Affects: apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Jamie Strandboge (jdstrand) Status: Triaged ** Affects: click-apparmor (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Jamie Strandboge (jdstrand) Status: Triaged ** Changed in: click-apparmor (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: click-apparmor (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Also affects: apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Jamie Strandboge (jdstrand) ** Changed in: click-apparmor (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Jamie Strandboge (jdstrand) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to click-apparmor in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1496880 Title: update stable-phone-overlay to ship/handle 15.10 policy Status in apparmor-easyprof-ubuntu package in Ubuntu: Triaged Status in click-apparmor package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: The stable-phone-overlay now has 15.10 on the device, but there is no corresponding security policy.
