It may be because you don't have a deb-src entry for "multisystem". Try
commenting out that line in your sources.list. If that doesn't work then
keep testing by removing extras.ubuntu.com and archive.canonical.com to
see if that helps.

  Cannot get source packages without root privileges

Status in apt package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  When I try
  apt-get source coreutils
  as standard user I get
  Error: You must put some 'source' URIs in your sources.list
  With sudo apt-get source works as expected.
  Remove please the need of root privileges to download source packages.
  I have deb-src lines in /etc/apt/sources.list.
