Discussed this more with the advent of qmllint. It fulfills much the same purpose as qmlmin but produces better error messages pointing out the nature of the error.
If possible it should be hooked up to the .qml copying step we have right now (and later to qrc compilation once we do that). ** Summary changed: - Add flake8 and qmlmin to make check + Add flake8 and qmllint to make check -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to ubuntu-ui-toolkit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1454322 Title: Add flake8 and qmllint to make check Status in ubuntu-ui-toolkit package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: A frequent source of failure that's probably accumulating to quite a bit of overhead in CI runs is flake8 errors. Less so are obvious syntax or type errors in QML at runtime, nevertheless it would seem like a good idea to verify that. I'm proposing to add these to make check so they can be caught much earlier on the developer's machine.
