The ubuntu-keyboard project only handles the OSK (which is disabled when
a bluetooth keyboard is connected), I believe that activating the lock
screen is handled by unity8 so I've reassigned this bug there, hope that
helps.

Title:
[BLUETOOTH KEYBOARD] Screen goes off (locking) while typing

Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
When I am using my bluetooth keyboard then the screen will be locked
after the time that is in the settings after no activity. That is
strange because typing a keyboard is activity. When typing an long
mail or something else then the screen is locking. This is een
repeating bug. Only with my bluetooth keyboard and not with my
bluetooth mouse. I was guessing that the bug belongs here or else it
  will be under bluetooth.
