Title:
gallery app uses all available system's memory when opening large
  pictures

Status in Canonical System Image:
  Confirmed
Status in gallery-app package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  current build number: 41
  device name: krillin
  channel: ubuntu-touch/rc/bq-aquaris.en

  Test Case:
  1. Upload the attached picture to the Pictures directory on the phone
(available from [1] or search very high resolution photos on google images)
  2. Open the gallery
  3. Wait until the thumbnail is available and tap on the picture

  Actual Result
The photo never opens, gallery apps uses all available system's memory and
eventually OOM killer shoots it.

  Expected Result
It either display the photo and if it is not possible due to hardware
limitation it fails with an error message the user can understand.
