I can confirm bug 1532974 is an issue but it's a separate bug. This bug is about the window border failing to follow the mouse during resizing. It fails to move, but occasionally jumps.
It feels like we've broken the basic rule of display servers in that the server must never wait for a client. ** This bug is no longer a duplicate of bug 1532974 large window flicker on ubuntu apps launching in window mode ** Summary changed: - [regression] Window resizing is very choppy and stutters + [regression] Window border resizing is very choppy and stutters ** Summary changed: - [regression] Window border resizing is very choppy and stutters + [regression] Window resizing is very choppy and stutters (border does not smoothly follow the mouse) ** Branch linked: lp:~aacid/unity8/dash_backgroud_source_size_rework -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1539011 Title: [regression] Window resizing is very choppy and stutters (border does not smoothly follow the mouse) Status in QtMir: New Status in qtmir package in Ubuntu: New Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Just tried Unity8 desktop for the first time since October and found some things don't work as well as before.
