I would even say that the edge width needs to be configurable by the user. Personally I use a cover for my Meizu mx4 and the edges of the cover gets in the way when i swipe.
It especially affects the gesture for the launcher and for swiping to the home screen, which I perform successfully about 50% of the times at best (I do the swiping with the thumb of my right hand). The right side is easier for me but it's still not perfect. Removing the cover is not an option for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1559512 Title: edge width should be configurable Status in Canonical System Image: New Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: In Progress Bug description: On some devices, like arale or turbo, triggering edge gestures is quite tricky. Increasing the width for edge gestures helps with that. However, we can't generally increase the width because that would cause false-positives on other devices like krillin or vegeta. => The edge width should be configurable so that a device-specific width can be set in the device device tarball.
