I can reliably reproduce the issue on frieza. I’m not seeing anything in
the logs when that happens. Other websites with <select> elements (such
as http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_select) work
fine.

I can’t reproduce the issue on my desktop running up-to-date xenial
(without overlay PPA). There the selector popup is displayed.
