Nope,

the contacts are synced as they appear in the log and can be deleted
throw syncevolution.

I confirm: they are just not shown in the contact app.

Title:
  Contacts not shown in device

Status in address-book-app package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
I have a synced address book in an owncloud server via syncevolution.

UX is not perfect since I have to manually sync from terminal, but
  this is not the bug.

My addressbook is also synced on a laptop and an android device.
On each device (and server) I have 486 contacts but in the
ubuntu-addressbook-app, I miss several contacts.

I seen there entries while syncing in terminal but nothing in the app,
  neither in the call history.

If I manually add a missing contact, after syncing, I have a double
  contact on other devices.

Is it related to cache / number limit... I don't know.
