I'm pretty sure the Monitor's resolution was properly detected in 15.10 (4096x2160). It was called "Goldstar Company Ltd" but I do not recall which size was detected. (27" or 31") I remember seeing a 4K youtube video in 15.10 and noting the black bands on each side of the display, due to the difference between 3840 and 4096.
