This problem has come back with 16.16 and and Mate 1.12 panel colorization; can this be re-opened or should I open a new ticket?

However, there are some incompatibilites with the GTK2 version of Ambiance and Radiance and some missing icon assets. * Icons are missing for the volume applet. * The MATE panel background is not themed correctly. * Some of the selectors are not using the correct base color.
