On the web I found a solution to set a static ip configuration, but this require a connection to the pc. This is not very helpful when you are on a trip. I think it is important that you can set a static ip configuration only with the touch gui. When you have connected to a WLAN you can look at the connection details and most of the screen is blank. I think this is a good place for an ip settings menu.
