Public bug reported: I don't think either of these 2 changes are worth making any more:
* Client tools alternatively depend on or recommend aptdaemon's compatibility layer * packagekit provides the virtual packagekit-system-interface packagekit is now a recommends for all the Ubuntu 16.10 flavors. And I believe we're eventually demoting or even removing aptdaemon. I don't think any thing uses packagekit-system-interface. ** Affects: packagekit (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: New ** Tags: yakkety -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to packagekit in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1617697 Title: Drop obsolete diff from Debian Status in packagekit package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I don't think either of these 2 changes are worth making any more: * Client tools alternatively depend on or recommend aptdaemon's compatibility layer * packagekit provides the virtual packagekit-system-interface packagekit is now a recommends for all the Ubuntu 16.10 flavors.
