Not sure what we were doing at the time, possibly checking some
bluetooth keyboards, when we noticed this problem. It was not "killable"
with xkill. It seems there was some app open that has menus: Minimize,
Maximize, Always On Top, Always on Visible Workspace, Only on This
Workspace, Close. “Show menubar” can be seen beneath this.  Anyway, this
app seems to have closed or something, and left bits of itself on the
screen.  Unfortunately just not sure what was going on at that point.
