I was also impacted by this problem, only with a single contact.
After a factory reset of my phone, i would have liked to reimport my contacts'
database but without this problematic contact. By this way i think i have found
the solution of this problem: this contact was the only one in two copies on
the contacts.db .
- So since home/phablet/.local/share/evolution/addressbook i copied thanks to
the sd card the folder "system" with the contacts.db file in my computer.
- I opened it in SQLite Studio where i deleted "the selected row".
- Idem for the photo associated to this contact in the folder "photos"(beware:
you have to note the id of the contact before deleting it in order to find the
associate photo by its name).
- Then i copied the new folder "system" from my computer and crashed the
previous one on the phone.
- Refresh the phone directory or restart the phone.
Enjoy!

Title:
fail to receive sms text messages on phone

Status in messaging-app package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  OTA-10.1 (mako) Ubuntu Phone

Another phone (iPhone) on same carrier service sends me text messages.

  Expectation: Receive message

  One of three results:

  1: Receive message as expected
2: Never receive message (displays as delivered on iPhone, no notification or
message in "Messaging")
3: Receive bits of message sent, scrambled with bits of other messages (from
this same conversation/phone)

People are starting to blame my Ubuntu phone, think it might be bug.
