I retested to make sure this bug is valid on my hardware. Apparently it would seem there is a time limit for entering the Wi-Fi password, if the Wi-Fi password is entered within the time limit the Wi-Fi password is accepted otherwise password must be entered and saved from the Edit Connections GUI.
