Animation compositing smoothness is lower in Unity8 than in Mir demo
servers.
Test case:
Open any modern GTK app, and repeated click on a "bubble menu" like the
top-left icon in AisleRiot Solitaire.
Expected: Smooth fade/slide in/out animations.
Observed: Stuttering animations.
Seems to only be a problem in Unity8. It's apparently smooth in Mir demo
servers.
