Bug description:
Occasionally the battery is drained really quickly, something like 10%
an hour when doing nothing, when it normally uses about 2-3% an hour.
From what I can tell, this seems to be something to do with wifi. It
seems to happen after losing a wifi connection (without
disconnecting). This might happen from walking out of the range of the
wifi connection, or from the connection being switched off (such as a
hotspot being switched off) while the phone is connected.
I have not noticed any indication of when this problem occurs, the
only thing I can tell is when a couple of hours later my battery is
dead or dying.
Using Nexus 4.
Steps to reproduce (hopefully):
- Set up an Android phone as a hotspot.
- Connect your Ubuntu phone using Wifi to the Android hotspot.
- Disable the hotspot on the Android device (without disconnecting on
Ubuntu). (Might also need to make sure it's not going to reconnect to another
access point in the area)
- Compare battery level in an hour or two.
