I'm not sure whether to call this a bug or a feature, but on my mako and
flo I can activate UI controls from all four screen edges simultaneously
and drag them around independently. This is fine so long as I don't
"let go" or otherwise finish any actions, but as soon as something
activates, results are somewhat unpredictable.
This puts six different UI layers all onscreen at the same time, in varying
states of being active:
- dash
- home scope
- current app
- previous app
- indicator menu
- bottom-edge menu(s)
With a few more fingers, it may also be possible to interact with these,
like, toggling indicator settings or launching apps or activating menu
items. I'm not dextrous enough to do that without help though.
Multitouch is great for typing or zooming or perhaps some other
gestures, but I'm not totally sure it should be able to control multiple
unrelated UI elements at the same time. (some apps might want many
fingers, for implementing a piano or something, but it's awkward at best
as a primary UI feature)
