Bug description:
  ubuntu 17.04 Unity 8

  some GTK+3 apps don't fill the window (see attached screenshots)
  launch eog or terminix without Xmir (if the window is bigger than the 
minimum? size) then you'll see transparent regions. if you then resize the 
window it fills the window and works fine until you close the app and then you 
get the same stuff the next time. try to launch the apps, resize the window, 
close (loop). other gtk3 apps seems to work fine such as like sol and such as 
like mines and such
