Public bug reported: With the launcher set to "always shown" in Unity 8, and with privacy settings configured to not show the launcher on the lock screen, it still shows on the Unity 8 lock screen after the timeout has passed.
It seems like really the launcher should never be shown on the lock screen on any device, and the solution would be to remove this setting and always hide the launcher on the lock screen/greeter, as this can expose unique information about the user. ** Affects: canonical-devices-system-image Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: unity8 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: canonical-devices-system-image Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Touch seeded packages, which is subscribed to unity8 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1673466 Title: Launcher shown on lock screen despite privacy settings Status in Canonical System Image: New Status in unity8 package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: With the launcher set to "always shown" in Unity 8, and with privacy settings configured to not show the launcher on the lock screen, it still shows on the Unity 8 lock screen after the timeout has passed.
