  running the Amazon webapp:

  got this error after installing 
  apt install snapd
  snap install hello-world
  apt-get --purge autoremove firefox
  apt-get install unity-tweak-tool 
  apt install unity-webapps-common

  then did a 
  apt update unity-webapps-common
  (long scroll with loys and lots of updates)
  completed successfully and without error (I assume)
