Title:
Steam can't install/update itself or any games (zesty)

Status in network-manager package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Today I've noticed that Steam can't install/update anything. For instance,
when running steam for the first time I'm getting:
  > Fatal Error: Steam needs to be online to update. Please confirm your
network connection and try again.

I've seen DNS-related updated recently, they might be a reason for
  this issue.

I don't have any issues in browsers though.

Workaround is to change `127.0.0.53` to `8.8.8.8` in
  `/etc/resolv.conf` manually.

I'm connected to the Internet via router using Ethernet cable and I've
manually specified DNS servers `8.8.8.8` and `8.8.4.4` in nm-applet's
(I believe it is an applet) GUI.
